Abstract

The article discusses the requirements, scope, structure and content of research works for obtaining the degree of PhD in education. The author studies the structure of introduction and each chapter. Much attention is paid to the section on methodology research, reviews of literature and forming conclusions. It is stressed that the scientific work of this level must contain recommendations for further research. The examples of studies are selected that revealed common and differences in academic degrees of EdD and PhD.
