Abstract

The proposed article highlights the organizational forms of lifelong learning education; represents the essence of formal (defined them as carried out in a structured and organized environment such as school, training centre or workplace and clearly designated as teaching in terms of objectives, duration or resources), non-formal (based on planned activities not explicitly designated as learning in terms of objectives, duration of training or support for learners, but contains a significant educational element, usually not completed by certification) and informal which is also known as spontaneous (is the result of daily activities related to work, family or leisure, is not structured and not organized) training in postgraduate training system; describes the necessity of creating a culture of self-education between the young doctors, indeed, despite the wide range of educational opportunities the problem of lack of proper self-educational culture in the vast majority of the population causing reluctance to spend their time, money and effort on a voluntary improvement of their professional skills and thus the impossibility of proper implementation of the concept of lifelong learning; examines the role of scientific medical centres in the implementation of the concept of lifelong education; presents the experience of the Voyno-Yasenetskiy young physicians club organization in the Bogomolets National Medical University.
